School Day

 

From  September 2023, timings will be adjusted slightly for children from Reception to Y6 so that we provide 32.5 hours.

 

Little Sycamores (Two-year-old Provision)

Morning session: 8.45a.m. – 11.45a.m.

Afternoon Session: 12.30-3.30p.m.

 

Nursery Provision

Morning session: 8.45a.m. – 11.45a.m.

Afternoon Session: 12.30-3.30p.m.

 

Nursery 30 hours Provision

We offer the following timings: (with a 45-minute lunch time). The children will Monday to Friday 8.45a.m. – 3.30p.m. eat in the nursery setting. You may provide a packed lunch daily or pay for a school dinner.

 

The Government’s Childcare entitlement (from the term after their third birthday) to 30 hours per week for working families, depends on eligibility.

 

Am I eligible?

To qualify, you and any partner must expect to earn on average:

  • At least 16 hours per week at national minimum wage or national living wage.
  • Less than £100,000 per year individually.

Families where one or both parents do not work will not usually be eligible unless:

  • Both parents are employed but are temporarily away from workplace (maternity, paternity, adoption leave or sick leave).
  • One parent is employed and one parent has substantial caring responsibilities based on specific benefits received for caring or is disabled based on receipt of specific benefits.

Our school day starts at 8.50 a.m. for all other classes

Reception, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 classroom doors open at 8.50 a.m. Children in reception and KS1 are welcomed into school and into their classrooms with a daily 'Meet and Greet' by their class teachers. Key Stage 2 children are collected from the Key Stage 2 yard by their class teacher. The only exception is Mr Horkan’s class who can enter the building by Door 4.

School finishes for all children in Reception, Key Stage 1 and in Key Stage 2 at 3.20p.m.

Early Years and Key Stage 1 children are collected from their classroom door and Key Stage 2 children from the Key Stage 2 yard. Teachers are usually available to speak with parents/carers at the end of the school day or by appointment.

Members of the Leadership Team and 'Care Team' are visible onsite at arrival and departure times.
